The Knox School Board has set the book rental and technology fees for the coming school year. While they vary by grade level and course selection, the fees will generally be slightly lower than last year’s at the high school level, but higher for most middle school students.

Back in April, the Eastern Pulaski School Board approved the purchase of Chromebooks for the elementary school. On Monday, members had the chance to see how they’re being used.
Knox middle and high school students will now be able to keep their technology devices.

The Knox Community School Corporation stands to make at least $265,000 by selling unneeded student laptops. With the school corporation getting new Chrome Books over the summer, the school board decided last week to sell 1,000 MacBook Air devices.
The Knox Community School Board members discussed the purchase of Chrome Books for everyday student use.
Director of Technology Jim Landrum explained that the operating system will be a little different that what the students are used to with their MacBook Air devices.
