Two local school districts are keeping students home Friday because of illness. The Knox and Oregon-Davis school corporations have both made February 7 an eLearning day. Knox school officials cite student, bus driver, and staff illness. This marks the corporation’s fourth eLearning day in a week.

The Knox School Board approved the corporation’s 2019-2020 school calendar last week. Students’ first day of class will be August 6, 2019, with the last day on May 22, 2020, unless make-up days need to be used. Students will once again get two weeks off for both Christmas break and spring break, as well as one week for fall break.
The West Central School Board members were informed about the recent practice eLearning day.

The Oregon-Davis School Corporation is alerting families to a few upcoming schedule changes. Friday, April 20 will be a planned eLearning Day. Students will be working from home to make up for the cancellation of class on February 15.
The West Central School Board met in special session on Thursday and discussed eLearning days.
Superintendent Don Street said the corporation utilizes eLearning days after all snow makeup days are spent.
