A memorandum of understanding for the Tax Refund Exchange and Compliance System will be presented for the board’s approval. A similar agreement was approved by the Eastern Pulaski School Board earlier this month.

North Judson-San Pierre School Board members considered a request Tuesday night from the FFA seeking permission to attend the National FFA Convention next week.

The North Judson FFA recently completed a project with results that span the entire town.

Community Foundation of Pulaski County 2018 Lilly Endowment Scholarship Recipient Announced
Winamac Community High School Senior Peyton Newman has been named the Community Foundation of Pulaski County 2018 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar.
Peyton is the daughter of Arthur and Melissa Newman. She has been involved in a plethora of school activities including student council, FFA, Sunshine Society, SADD, Key Club and drama. She is also active in golf and cheerleading.
Outside of school, Peyton has been a member of 4-H for 9 years. She is also a 5-year Junior Leader member and has volunteered as a camp counselor, a fair board representative and council representative. Continue reading

Culver Schools Finalizes Monterey Building Sale
The Culver Community Schools Corporation has finalized the sale of the Monterey School Building. Interim Superintendent Chuck Kitchell says the corporation closed on the sale Monday. Lawrence and Diana Loehmer purchased the building and surrounding land for $60,000. Continue reading

Elected or appointed? N.J.-S.P. Board to Decide Tonight
The North Judson-San Pierre School Board is expected to announce tonight whether they favor a transition to an elected school board or would prefer to keep the current appointed process. Members have spent the past several weeks gathering public input on the topic via Google survey and a special meeting last week for that sole purpose.
