The Oregon-Davis School Corporation is adjusting its plans for the end of the school year. The final day for new instruction has been moved from May 21 to May 14, according to the Bobcat Blast email newsletter. But teachers will remain on duty through May 21 to help students finish their end-of-year assignments.

Eastern Pulaski School Board Recognizes Valedictorian, Salutatorian
Winamac High School’s valedictorian and salutatorian were recognized by the Eastern Pulaski School Board last week. Valedictorian Miranda Hettinger told board members she plans to go to St. Mary’s College, where she’ll major in computing and applied math and play softball. Salutatorian Lera Good said she plans to study English and creative writing at Valparaiso University.

North Judson Seniors, Staff Prepare For Graduation Ceremonies
Seniors from the North Judson-San Pierre High School participated in their final events for their high school careers this week. Superintendent Lynn Johnson said a banquet was held Wednesday night for the students.
“We had our Senior Night and we did recognize many of our Senior students with scholarships from different community organizations,” said Johnson. “We did honor our Valedictorian, who is John Eckert, and the Salutatorian Christopher Lippelt. Both boys have done a wonderful job in their school careers academically, athletically, and in community service.”
A staff breakfast has also been scheduled for today at 8 a.m., something that Johnson says is done every year.
Graduation Services To Take Place Tomorrow Afternoon For Local Schools
Graduation services were held last night for Eastern Pulaski Seniors and another graduation service is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. West Central School Superintendent Charles Mellon reports the details of graduation services for seniors.
“That’ll be on Sunday, May 27,” said Mellon. “Baccalaureate is at 2 p.m. ET with Commencement to follow.”
Knox Community High School Commencement is Friday, June 1 at 7 p.m. in the Weinberg Gymnasium, and graduation at North Judson-San Pierre High School is slated for Sunday, June 3 at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.
Post-Graduation Report Given to Eastern Pulaski School Board
The Eastern Pulaski School Board learned this week that only 4% of the 2011 Winamac High School graduating class are not in some type of post secondary training, or working at a job.
Starke County High School Seniors to Graduate Tonight
High School Seniors from the three Starke County schools will be graduating tonight.
Graduation for Knox Community High School seniors will be tonight at 7:00 p.m. CT in the Weinberg Gymnasium. Oregon-Davis High School seniors will graduate at 6:30 p.m. in their High School gymnasium.
Graduation at the North Judson-San Pierre High School will be tonight at 7:00 p.m. CT in the Gymnasium. High School Principal, Annette Zupin, announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorian this week. The Valedictorian is Andrew Frasure and the Salutatorians are Henry Thoreson and Samantha Fisher.
Graduation Services Scheduled for June 3rd for Three Starke County Schools
The Knox Community High School Seniors will graduate on Friday, June 3rd, at 7:00 p.m. CT in the Weinberg Gymnasium. The Valedictorian for this graduating class is Darienne Griffith. The Salutatorian is Hayley Windbigler. The rest of the top ten students in the class include: Katelyn Peters, Kaitlyn Betz, Tiffany Friedlund, Tabitha Tepes, Elisabeth Caudill, Brittany Shannon, Carole Surfus, and Heather Rogers. SCILL Center Students to Graduate this Week
Graduation for the SCILL Center students is this week.
“Our graduation this year is going to be on May 18th, at 6:00 p.m. Knox time,” said Instructor Mark Anderson. “We’ve got 26 students that are going to be graduating this year. All of our students managed to get at least one ASE certification.”
