The Knox School Board Tuesday accepted what Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart called “a once-in-a-lifetime gift.” An anonymous donor has given the school corporation $300,000 to rebuild the high school track. “This donor had heard that we were going to redo the track,” Reichhart explained, “and the donor had run track for Knox and wanted to do something to give back to Knox and to the Redskin community.”

A reduction in force was approved during Monday’s school board meeting, according to Superintendent Dr. Don Harman. “Due to projected enrollments and due to projected revenue and expenditure concerns, we did reduce one position in our corporation,” he says.

Community Send-Off to Support Lady Bobcats Tonight
The community is encouraged to help get the Oregon-Davis Lady Bobcats to the state basketball tournament with the biggest send-off the team has ever seen.
The team is expected to leave for Terre Haute today at 5:45 p.m. CT from the high school parking lot. Athletic Director Greg Estok encourages you to get there early to cheer on the team and to witness a balloon release. Supporters will gather in the parking lot.
