The Town of Hamlet continues looking for ways it can keep better track of its water. The fire department has begun estimating its water usage in recent months. Now, the town’s planning to install water meters in the buildings at the Starke County Fairgrounds.
Hamlet Council Reorganizes, Recognizes Former Member
The Hamlet Town Council reorganized for 2017 Wednesday. Dave Kesvormas was reappointed council president. Town Marshal Clint Norem, Street Superintendent Fred Rowe, Water and Wastewater Operator Henry Ruiz, and Town Attorney Martin Bedrock are all keeping their positions for another year. Hamlet Water in the Clear, After Two Years of Increased Testing
Hamlet’s drinking water is now in compliance with Indiana Department of Environmental Management regulations. The town has been required to conduct additional water testing since it failed lead and copper tests in 2014. Continue reading
