BMV Branches Reopen Saturday
All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle branches are closed today due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but those facilities that normally operate on Saturdays will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 25.
The Plymouth BMV branch will be open tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET while the La Porte and Valparaiso branches will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT.
The Knox, Walkerton and Winamac branches will conduct business during regular hours next week.
BMV Closures in November
If you have any business to conduct at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles during the month of November you’ll want to tend to that as soon as possible. BMV locations will be closed intermittently for the remainder of the month.
This Friday and Saturday, all locations will be closed in observance of Veteran’s Day. Later in the month, all branches will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November, 23rd and the following day for Lincoln’s birthday. Continue reading

The branches of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles will be closed today and Monday, Oct. 9 in observance of the Columbus Day holiday.
BMV Announces Labor Day Closure
The Labor Day holiday will create a change in hours at all Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle branches. All branches will be closed Saturday, Sept. 2 through Monday, Sept. 4.
The La Porte, Plymouth, Walkerton, and Winamac branches will open on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 8:30 a.m. local time while the Knox branch will open again on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Mammogram Vouchers Available for Local Women
Women in Starke and LaPorte Counties may qualify for vouchers to cover the cost of mammograms and some diagnostic follow-up procedures. The LaPorte Hospital Foundation is offering the assistance to low-income, uninsured or underinsured women age 40 and older, and women of any age who are at high risk for breast cancer. BMV Amends Hours to Accommodate Elections
Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles license branches will adjust their hours next Monday and Tuesday in order to accommodate prospective voters. They will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2 and from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3. During those times license branches will only process new, amended or replacement ID card and driver’s license or learner permit applications.
