Governor Micah Beckwith and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs announced on April 9th that 371 addresses across 40 counties in Indiana will gain access to high-speed broadband as a result of $1,660,949 awarded in the 13th round of the Indiana Connectivity Program.

A Youth Educator for Indiana’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force will be in Starke County tomorrow presenting information to North Judson-San Pierre students in grades 3 through 12.
The ICAC Task Force works with state and local law enforcement agencies to develop an effective response to technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation through investigations, training, prevention and community education.

The North Judson Town Council members approved a lease agreement with Fourway Computer Products when they met on Monday.

The Culver Redevelopment Commission recently met with representatives from Marshall County Fiber LLC about the possibility of installing fiber optic cable to improve access to the internet in the area.

Pulaski County continues its overview of certain technology operations at its facilities.
During Tuesday night’s County Commissioner’s meeting, a hurdle in that process was addressed. Pulaski County’s internet service operates under an umbrella overseen by the IT department, but decisions about bills from the service provider were disallowed from being scrutinized for future recommendation by the IT department under agreement.
Indiana State Police are hoping to limit cyber crimes against the Hoosier state’s youth.
Pulaski County is readying plans to upgrade some of the technology that keeps the county running, but that could take some time.
