The city’s golf-cart ordinance requires operators to hold a valid driver’s license. However, there is a provision that states individuals can appeal to the city council for an exception to the rule. Hamlet Council Joins Starke County’s Stellar Communities Application
The Town of Hamlet is joining Starke County’s effort to become a Stellar Community. The county government plans to team up with the county’s three incorporated municipalities to apply for a regional Stellar designation in 2019. The Hamlet Town Council voted Wednesday to move forward with the process, along with the rest of the county.
Serenity Gardens Mural Project in Knox Could Possibly Start as Soon as This Week
As long as the weather cooperates and the necessary equipment can be accessed, the mural project at Serenity Gardens in Knox could get started as soon as this week.
Mayor Dennis Estok met with artist Joe Eskridge last Wednesday to go over details related to the project at the corner of Main and Lake Streets. Budget Update Presented at Knox City Council Meeting
A reminder about the importance of staying on schedule when it comes to budget matters was provided at Tuesday night’s Knox City Council meeting.
