After having to put the project on hold for several months due to inclement weather and scheduling conflicts, work is once again being done on the Serenity Gardens mural in downtown Knox.

Long-awaited crosswalk work in the City of Knox may finally get done this week. Mayor Dennis Estok told the city council last week that the installer would try to be in Knox this week, but the work depends on the weather. “A 50-degree day at daytime is fine,” he explained, “and then as long as it doesn’t get below freezing or something too many days in a row.”
Serenity Gardens Mural Starts to Take Shape, Preliminary Drawing Presented to Knox Officials
When the Knox City Council members met at the end of May, they received the first glimpse of the proposed mural that will be painted on the wall behind Serenity Gardens downtown.
Initially, three local artists were going to collaborate on a design, however, two of the individuals decided not to pursue the project. Instead, Oregon-Davis Art Teacher Joe Eskridge will be working on the mural himself. Continue reading
