Continue readingThe Town of Medaryville’s employee policies are getting a slight update, at the request of the town’s insurance provider. Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood says the policy book was just adopted by the town council last year. But since then, the insurance company has asked the town to make some minor language changes and add more information about who’s covered.
The Eastern Pulaski School Board will soon consider updates to the school corporation’s fundraising policies, but whether community members should be allowed to donate sports uniforms is a topic of debate. Three proposed policies were presented during a recent school board meeting.
The West Central School Board members approved the first reading of policy manual revisions. Superintendent Don Street said there were a few included in the discussion.
“The board approved student suicide prevention and the required plan for seclusions and restraints in schools as well as the military recruiter’s parent opt-out provisions under ESSA,” said Street.
Additional readings will be considered during their meeting in March.
