Autopsy results in a double homicide investigation in Pulaski County have been released.
Additional court dates will be set on Monday, May 7, for a Winamac man charged with two counts of murder.
Ross Stacy, 32, was arrested on Saturday, March 10, as a suspect in the death of his father, 59-year-old Loss Stacy, and 56-year-old Mary Kurek, of Gary. Police say Kurek was the girlfriend of Loss Stacy.
Wednesday marks the first day a declaration of candidacy may be filed and several Pulaski County positions will be up for election this year.
Seats are open for Circuit Court and Superior Court Judges who each serve 6-year terms. Elections will also be held for the 4-year terms of Prosecuting Attorney, Clerk of Courts, the Sheriff, Assessor, Surveyor, Coroner and Commissioner for District #3. A not guilty plea was entered for Stanley Myers, 70, in an initial hearing in Pulaski County Circuit Court. He is charged with six counts of child molesting.
According to court documents, the Monterey man is accused of child molesting on six different occasions with six-year-old and seven-year-old children. The acts were allegedly committed over a period of time. Each incident reportedly occurred at a home on 750 North in Monterey.
