Work on Francesville’s new public art installation gets underway today. A mural is being painted on the side of the Neihouser Building 118 West Montgomery Street, according to the Tippecanoe Arts Federation. Brooklyn-based muralist Jenna Morello will work on the mural over the next week.

Some Winamac silos will soon be reinvigorated with public art, thanks to a grant from the Tippecanoe Arts Federation. Anne Rebeck serves as the federation’s Pulaski County representative. “We, through them, have a $10,000 grant for public art,” she told the Winamac Town Council Monday. “So I have permission from Mary Sue Link to use the silos that are on the Panhandle Pathway, and we’ll hopefully get that done by early summer.”

The Tippecanoe Arts Federation is looking for visual art exhibits to hang in the Wells Community Cultural Center galleries in 2016. All artists, art groups, arts organization and schools from the Region IV counties are eligible to submit an application and electronic portfolio for panel review. Artists in Pulaski, White, Jasper, Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, , Montgomery, Newton, Tippecanoe, Tipton and Warren counties who are at least 18 are eligible to apply.
