A Winamac truck repair business’s expansion plans recently cleared a procedural hurdle with the town council. Town Manager Brad Zellers told council members that Vander Haag’s planned to purchase the neighboring property to the south, to add onto the current facility. The town council approved the business’s request to rezone the parcel from residential to light industrial.

Zoning Updates Planned for Winamac
The Town of Winamac may soon consider updating its zoning ordinance to bring it in line with Pulaski County’s. Pulaski County Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer appeared before the town council Monday. Winamac Changes Insurance Provider, Council Discusses Park Board
The Town of Winamac is changing health insurance providers. The Town Council voted Monday to switch to Time Insurance, which submitted the lowest annual quote at just under $8,000. That’s $3,000 less than the price given by the town’s current provider, United Healthcare. Continue reading
