Winter Wonderland Activities Already Underway

 
 

Get an early start on this year’s scavenger hunt as part of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce Winter Wonderland. Free game cards are available at the chamber office inside Refined at 102 N. Monticello Street, the Winamac Town Office and Pearl Street Market. Players need to work their way south from Good Oil to Poblanos to complete their cards. Winter Wonderland Event in Winamac Set for Saturday

 
 

The Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce’s Winter Wonderland event is tomorrow in downtown Winamac from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.

Several craft and business booths will be set up in different locations including the Vurpillat Opera House, fire station, Refined, Christian Church and the New Beginnings Church. Local businesses will have sales for Christmas shoppers. The Lion’s Club toy drive and the craft and bake sale will be at the Pulaski County Human Services building, the Iris-Elm Garden Club holiday arrangement show will be at the train depot and the boy scouts coat drive will take place on the courthouse lawn.

Winter Wonderland Coming to Pulaski County Dec. 7

 
 

The Winter Wonderland event, sponsored by the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce, is set for Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET in downtown Winamac.

But first, join the chamber in ushering in the holiday season in the lighting of the Christmas Tree on the Pulaski County Courthouse lawn on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. ET followed by tours of three beautiful homes in Pulaski County. Tickets for the home tour can be purchased at the Pulaski County Chamber office, at Refined or from Winter Wonderland committee members. Tours will be given at Melody Braun’s home as well as at Bailey Hoover’s home and Patrick Shuttrow’s home.

Christmas Tree to Be Erected at Pulaski Courthouse

 
 
The Pulaski County Courthouse lawn will soon be decorated in the spirit of the Christmas season, as the county commissioners this week approved a request from the director of the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce to have a Christmas tree on the lawn. Angie Anspach said the tree would be erected the evening of Dec. 6 to kickoff the Christmas season and Winter Wonderland, and she also received permission for a choir and other groups to use the courthouse.

Winter Wonderland in Winamac!

“This weather sure isn’t very festive for a winter wonderland, but the spirit is here!” That was said by a woman attending the Winter Wonderland festivities in downtown Winamac Saturday. The event, sponsored by the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce, featured children’s activities, horse and buggy rides, craft and business booths, Christmas displays and the excitement of the season. WKVI’s Anita Goodan had a chance to walk around the area and her heart swelled with the Christmas spirit from seeing the smiles and the fun everyone was having. Winter Wonderland Event in Winamac this Saturday

Pulaski County’s Winter Wonderland is Saturday, December 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET in the Winamac downtown area.

The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. and it will begin at the Catholic Church and will end at the Pulaski County Chamber Office. Vendor booths will be set up at the Opera House at the corner of Market and Main Street and at 200 N. Monticello Street and at Refined. Maps are available at many local businesses. The Church of the Heartland Bethlehem scene can be viewed at 102 N. Market Street.

Pulaski County Chamber’s Winter Wonderland is this Saturday in Winamac

Winter Wonderland

The Pulaski County Chamber’s Winter Wonderland event is this Saturday, December 4th from Noon-4:00 p.m. ET in downtown Winamac.

“There will be craft booths, there will be vendor booths, some great food to eat, the stores in the area will be offering wonderful specials, horse and buggy rides, and the children can visit with Santa,” explained Winter Wonderland Coordinator, Brandi Larkin. “We also have some groups hosting free children’s activities so there is a little bit of something for everyone. There will be a parade at 12:30 p.m. ET through the downtown area, a toy drive, a coat, hat and glove drive and a food drive. The Fire Department will have a quilt raffle and other not-for-profit organizations will have a presence at some of the booth locations as well.

Maps will be available for residents to see where they can find participants in this year’s event. Larkin said it’s important to grab a map as it could lead you to a great prize.

“If they visit nine of the eleven Chamber locations that are noted on the map and receive a sticker, they can be entered in a drawing for some great prizes,” added Larkin.

Donate to the Pulaski County United Fund during Winter Wonderland Event

The Pulaski County United Fund, Inc. invites you to stop by their booth during the Winter Wonderland event in Winamac on Saturday, December 4th.

The United Fund booth will be located at the Pulaski County Human Services, Inc. building and will be open from Noon to 4:00 p.m. ET. Any contribution made to the United Fund during Winter Wonderland will be entered into a drawing to be held on December 13th. If you cannot attend Winter Wonderland and wish to contribute and be eligible for the drawing, drop off your contribution at either Alliance Bank offices in Winamac or Francesville between December 4th and December 11th. Several business have donated prizes for the drawing.
