Knox High School Graphics Department Receives Flexo Press Machine

The Knox High School Graphic Arts Department has received a flexo press machine to help expand the many programs in that department.

The Mark Andy 830 flexo press comes from Bettylyn Kraft from the Phoenix Challenge. Knox High School is the only school in the state to add a flexo press to the print education program, allowing students to print packaging and other labels.

With the addition of the flexography program in the Knox Graphic Arts Department, every student will receive a national certification as a student press operator. The school has achieved a National Print Certification and is now a source for well-trained and nationally-certified employees for an industry that is need of these operators.

Mr. Sullivan teaches the program and has taught in the Graphic Arts department for the past 36 years. He has expanded equipment in the department since coming to the Knox schools after college and has one of the top graphic arts departments in the state.
