Several sentencing hearings were held in Starke Circuit Court Wednesday.
Tiffany Woodard Wireman pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the state in two different cases to charges of Visiting a Common Nuisance as a Class B Misdemeanor and Escape as a Class D Felony. On the misdemeanor charge, she was sentenced to 60 days in the Starke County Jail. On the Escape charge, she was sentenced to 18 months in the Department of Corrections with six months suspended to be served on probation. The sentences will be served consecutively. She had removed her electronic monitoring device while serving time with Starke County Community Corrections.
Timothy Davis, 42, of Monterey pleaded guilty in a plea agreement with the state to merged counts of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Prior Conviction as a Class D Felony. He was sentenced by Judge Kim Hall to 24 months in the Department of Corrections with 12 months suspended to be served on probation. The sentence will be served on home detention. He must attend a substance abuse program and his driver’s license has been suspended for a year.
After pleading guilty in a plea agreement with the state, Kurtis Singleton was sentenced to a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine as a Class D Felony. His 18-month sentence will be served on home detention with electronic monitoring and no part of his sentence was suspended.
Brandi Wright will have to attend a substance abuse evaluation and treatment in a sentence she received after pleading guilty in a plea agreement with the state to Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drugs a Class D Felony. Judge Kim Hall sentenced her to 24 months in the Department of Corrections with 12 months suspended to be served on probation. That sentence will be served on home detention. All other charges were dismissed.
Kelsey Wireman was sentenced on two charges. She pleaded guilty to Possession of Methamphetamine and received a sentence of two years with one year suspended to be served on probation. On a charge of Possession of Paraphernalia, she will serve one year in the Starke County Jail with no part of that sentence suspended. She will serve her sentence on home detention in Allen County. She will need to participate in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous classes on a regular basis and she will pay a $200 drug interdiction fee.
