Plans are coming together for this year’s Knox Independence Day celebration. The event will take place Saturday, July 1, starting with a parade down Main Street and ending with a fireworks display in Wythogan Park.
Now, Mayor Dennis Estok has announced that types of craft vendors are invited to take part in the Fun Day in the park. Interested homemade and commercial craft vendors can get an application from the mayor’s office.
During his report to the city council Tuesday, Estok also said that tickets were still available for the city’s National Day of Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 4. It will take place from 7 to 8 a.m. at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center.
Anyone who’d like to attend must purchase tickets at city hall on Monday. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
