Knox School Board Agenda Includes Plans for Next Year

The Knox Community School Board members will have a full agenda when they meet in regular session tonight.

The board will approve the registration dates and times as well at the student and faculty handbooks for the upcoming school year. The board will also consider renewing a contract with The Crossing alternative school and they will be given an update on eLearning.

Breakfast and lunch prices will be discussed by the school board along with a transportation purchase and a paving bid. A non-certified reduction in force will be discussed by the board.

The Knox Community School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. CT in the meeting room in the administrative office in the Knox Elementary School.

The board plans to meet in executive session meetings tomorrow and Thursday for the first round of interviews for a new superintendent. The school board members voted in April to negotiate a buyout of A.J. Gappa’s superintendent contract. Jim Dermody is currently serving as interim superintendent. The school board is eager to hire a new superintendent by Aug. 1.
