Pulaski County Commissioners Meet New CEO of Four County Counseling Center

Local community mental health centers have seen changes in leadership in the past few months. Last month, Four County Counseling Center officially named Carrie Cadwell as its new CEO. The non-profit group serves Pulaski, Fulton, Cass, and Miami counties, with its corporate office and inpatient unit in Logansport.

Cadwell introduced herself to the Pulaski County Commissioners last week. She said she plans to give them updates once or twice a year.

Commissioner Mike McClure asked her how long it takes for people to get help through Four County. Cadwell explained that help is available almost immediately for those on Medicaid or the Healthy Indiana Plan, but it can take two or three weeks for people with commercial health insurance or Medicare.

Meanwhile, Porter-Starke Services got a new president and CEO of its own at the end of December. Matthew Burden officially joined Porter-Starke on December 29, after serving in a similar role at the Swanson Center in LaPorte County.
