West Central to Utilize eLearning Days if Weather Closes School

West Central students will be utilizing eLearning days if the weather forces the cancellation of any more classroom instruction this school year.

Superintendent Don Street reminded the school board of that policy last week.

“We will be utilizing eLearning on Saturdays for the remainder of the year and then next year eLearning will be utilized for a professional development day early in the year,” said Street. “On days that we are canceled, we’re planning on utilizing eLearning.”

He added that student-teacher instruction time is important so if the school is closed for multiple days in a row next year, the built-in snow makeup days will be implemented.
