The Knox Mayor’s Office issued a reminder that “ Spring Clean-Up Dumpster Days” will be held this weekend.
Residents can drop items off from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 19th and Sunday May 20th. The dumpsters will be located in Wythogan Park, at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the rear of the park.
This event is restricted to residents who live within the city limits only. Before disposing of anything, individuals will be required to show a valid I.D, listing their Knox residence and a current utility bill.
Mayor Dennis Estok said this is a good chance for citizens to clean up their yards and homes to get rid of anything that is too large to be picked up on normal trash days. People are asked not to use these dumpsters to dispose of household hazardous waste items, tires, paint or regular trash.
