Autopsy Results Released in Medaryville House Fire Investigation

The Pulaski Coroner’s Office released information Sunday afternoon from the autopsy and a toxicology test performed on a victim found in a house fire in Medaryville.

According to their findings, Coroner John Behny and Deputy Coroner Jon Frain say the test results show that the victim died of blunt force trauma to the head. The coroner’s office previously determined the manner of death as a homicide.

The identity of the victim will be released when the coroner’s office confirms the results of a DNA analysis.

The fire occurred at a home in the 9000 block of County Road 300 N. in rural Medaryville on Aug. 13 around 2 p.m. ET. The Medaryville Police Department, Medaryville Fire Department, North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department, and Pulaski County Emergency Management Agency responded to the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department and the Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office with assistance from the Indiana State Police and the Indiana State Fire Marshal.

A person of interest in the case, Danny Clark, has been charged with murder and arson resulting in serious bodily injury.
