The 2019 Holiday Schedule was up for approval when the Winamac Town Council held their final meeting of the year last Friday.
In 2018, Winamac employees were given Christmas Eve off but they had to work on New Years Eve. With the proposed schedule for 2019, Council President Tom Murray recommended giving employees the whole day off on both holidays. The other council members agreed with his suggestion.
With those minor changes noted, the council members went on to approve the rest of the schedule as presented. Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger stated that the employee handbook for 2019 will need to be updated to reflect the suggestions that were made during the meeting.
