Pulaski Commissioners to Get Update on Ambulance Garage Expansion, Choose Insurance Consultant

Pulaski County Commissioners: Mike McClure, Jerry Locke, Kenny Becker

The Pulaski County Commissioners will get an update on the EMS Department’s ambulance garage expansion plans this morning. The expansion of the Winamac ambulance garage has been discussed for years, since the county’s ambulances can barely fit in the existing space.

But there have been different ideas about what the expansion should entail. Back in April, the commissioners gave EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo permission to have the property surveyed and start the bidding process.

In other business today, the commissioners are scheduled to choose a consultant to analyze the four health insurance proposals the county received last week. Their goal is to choose an insurance company on July 1. The commissioners are also expected to hear from Sheriff Jeff Richwine, Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer, and IT Director Matt Voltz.

This morning’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 8:30 EDT at the Pulaski County Highway Garage.
