Pulaski Commissioners to Consider EMS Requests, Veterans Service Officer Recommendation

Pulaski County Commissioners: Mike McClure, Jerry Locke, Kenny Becker

The Pulaski County Commissioners will consider a few requests from the EMS Department tonight. EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo is expected to ask for on-call rules to be added to the county’s policy manual. He’ll also ask for an increase in mileage fees and permission to buy fuel from Good Oil.

The commissioners will also consider a recommendation for a new veterans service officer. The northwest district officer for the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, Tom White, has been helping the county with the search process.

A representative from Cardinal Copiers will be at tonight’s meeting to discuss a copier lease and IT outsource. Last month, the commissioners decided to disband the county’s IT Department, effective today.

Meanwhile, the commissioners will continue discussing a health insurance consultant. County officials have decided to revisit insurance options this year, with the hope of finding some cost savings. An ordinance for transfer fees will be discussed tonight.

Tonight’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 6:00 EDT at the Pulaski County Highway Garage.
