David Sarber Sentenced to Work Release

A Plymouth man was sentenced Wednesday morning in Starke Circuit Court per the terms of a plea agreement with the State and Defense Attorney Richard Ballard on a Level 4 Felony charge of dealing in methamphetamine.

David Sarber, 35, admitted to Judge Kim Hall that he sold methamphetamine to an undercover officer at the Hope Center on March 16, 2018.  The amount was apparently just under 4 grams.

Judge Hall nearly rejected the plea agreement stating that Sarber seems very likely to reoffend, but gave him a chance to prove himself and to stay away from drugs.

Sarber was sentenced to 8 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections with 3 years suspended to be served on probation.  The 5 years to be executed in this case may be permitted to be served on work release in La Porte County.
