Complaint of Shots Fired Reportedly Leads to Arrest of Goshen Man in LaPorte County

A complaint of shots fired reportedly led to the arrest of a Goshen man in LaPorte County. Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the area of U.S. 20 and County Road 350 East just before 11:30 Tuesday morning.

When they got there, deputies were reportedly told that a green pickup truck that was involved left the scene heading west on U.S. 20. Officers say a truck matching its description was later seen speeding, and they pulled it over at the intersection of U.S. 20 and U.S. 35.

The driver, Wesley Rivera-Colon, 22, was arrested on suspicion of criminal recklessness, possession of a handgun without a license, and violating the governor’s stay-at-home order. He was reportedly taken to the LaPorte County Jail and released Wednesday after posting bond.
