COVID-19 Response Funding Up for Pulaski County Council’s Approval Tonight

Funding for Pulaski County’s COVID-19 response will be up for the county council’s approval tonight.

Council members will consider letting the county’s incident management team spend up to $100,000 in Riverboat Fund money for things like personal protective equipment and overtime pay. Those costs would be eligible for a 75-percent reimbursement from the federal government.

The county council will also decide whether to finalize additional appropriations related to a new mower for Arens Field, the Sheriff’s Office’s new dispatch system, and camera upgrades in the jail. New additional appropriation requests are expected from the Board of Aviation Commissioners and Superior Court. Discussion on a funding request from the Community Foundation of Pulaski County will continue.

Tonight’s Pulaski County Council meeting starts at 7:00 EDT. It’s expected to be streamed on the Pulaski County Indiana Government Facebook page.
