ISDH: New COVID-19 Cases Numbers 675

In Friday’s report from the Indiana State Department of Health, 675 new cases of COVID-19 were noted, along with 33 new deaths. Figures are reported based on when data is received by the ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

Starke County reported 21 cases, while Pulaski County had 33 and Marshall County had 31.  Those numbers are unchanged from Thursday’s report.  As testing expands, State Health Commissioner Dr. Kris Box expects numbers to increase. 

Cass County reported 29 new cases which brings the total to 1,497.  La Porte County reported 307 COVID-19 cases. 

Information on how many people have recovered from COVID-19 is not available in the report. 

At the Westville Correctional Facility, 170 offenders have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Indiana Department of Correction website.  Seventy-nine staff members have tested positive there out of 238 tested. 

The total number of Indiana residents known to have COVID-19 is now 23,146 with 1,328 deaths recorded. 

To date, 130,128 tests have been reported to the Indiana State Department of Health which is 5,346 more than Thursday’s report.
