Multiple people were injured and several Knox residents lost power, following a pair of vehicle crashes Saturday evening. Starke County dispatchers say one person was taken to the hospital in a single-vehicle crash on State Road 8 that resulted in a power outage. NIPSCO reported that more than 200 customers were still without power hours later.
Then around 7:00 p.m., crews were reportedly called to a two-vehicle crash at Heaton Street and Henry Drive. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
