Knox Wastewater Superintendent to Resign

The Knox wastewater superintendent is stepping down. Kelly Clemons is resigning from her position of wastewater treatment plant operator, according to Mayor Dennis Estok.

“She’s got 23 years in,” Estok told the board of works last week. “I hate to see her go. She’s been a good operator. But she made that decision. I remember, when I was superintendent down there, I hired her. That’s how she started out, part-time lab, and then she moved up the ladder to become the superintendent. So I wish her well.”

A replacement is expected to be announced later.
