Winamac High School is holding graduation on the football field this year. The school announced on Facebook Tuesday that commencement will be held Friday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m.
Only four guests will be allowed per graduate, but the event will be streamed live. Guests will be seated in the home bleachers, and masks will be optional. After the ceremony, graduates will be able to take part in a short parade through town. A rain date has been set for Saturday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m.
School officials say they believe the plan honors graduates, while still keeping everyone as safe as possible.
