$250,000 in COVID-19 Response Money Distributed to Knox Businesses

More than two months after the City of Knox was awarded a $250,000 COVID-19 Response Program grant, the money has finally made its way to local businesses. Mayor Dennis Estok told the city council Tuesday that the funding came into the city last week, and it was distributed to 27 qualifying businesses within two days.

“It took a long time to get the funds in, but they came in,” Estok said. “And actually, they were really appreciative of the money that they received, so the committee did a good job and hopefully it helps them out.”

A list of businesses that received the grant funding can be found below, but Estok said he isn’t releasing how much each of them received, based on the guidance of the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. North Judson and Pulaski County are seeking grant funding to launch similar programs of their own.
