Pulaski Council, Commissioners to Consider Requiring Employees to Wear Masks

Pulaski County government employees could soon be required to wear face masks at work. The county council and commissioners will discuss COVID-19 protocol for employees during an emergency joint session tonight.

The proposal would require employees to wear a mask whenever they’re in county facilities unless they’re alone in a private office, according to a post on the Pulaski County, Indiana, Government Facebook page. Department heads would also have to keep a log of daily temperature checks for their staff.

Tonight’s Pulaski County Council and Commissioners meeting starts at 6:30 EDT in the Pulaski County Highway Garage, followed by the council’s regular meeting at 7:00. County Attorney Kevin Tankersley is expected to discuss proposed adjustments to the county’s income tax structure, as recommended by accounting firm Baker Tilly. EMS Director Brandon DeLorenzo will discuss potential adjustments to shift captain and instructor pay.

A number of additional appropriation and transfer requests will also be considered.
