Eastbound U.S. 30 was closed for about five hours Monday, after a crash that reportedly spilled rocks and paint onto the roadway. Indiana State Police say INDOT crews were repainting the fog line just west of U.S. 35.

Around 8:30 a.m., a 2013 Mack truck driven by James Mareska reportedly sideswiped an impact attenuator vehicle, pushing it into the paint truck that it was following. That, in turn, caused paint to spill onto the roadway, but officers say the paint did not make it into a nearby ditch. Meanwhile, the semi truck reportedly overturned, spilling rocks on the road, as well.

No serious injuries were reported. Cleanup took several hours. State Police say U.S. 30 was fully open by around 1:20 p.m.
