The City of Knox is giving residents a chance to clean up their properties. Dumpster Days are scheduled for Saturday, May 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“Knox residents only,” Estok told the city council last week, “must show photo ID or valid driver’s license and a Knox utility bill. It will be held down at the Wastewater Treatment Plant again, so we’re fenced in.”
The Knox Wastewater Treatment Plant is located in the back of Wythogan Park. Residents will be able to get rid of large bulky items that can’t be picked up on normal garbage days. Regular trash, yard waste, tires, electronics, refrigerators, paint, and hazardous waste will not be accepted.
However, Starke County Environmental Management is hosting a household hazardous waste collection event on May 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at its Recycle Center at 3835 East County Road 250 North.
