The North Judson-San Pierre School Board has a new member. Cameron Stalbaum took the oath of office during the board’s annual reorganization Thursday, according to Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin.

Stalbaum was appointed by Jackson Township to replace Jerry Bacon, who did not seek a second term. Meanwhlie, Sandy Kersting-Rudd was appointed by Railroad Township to her first full term on the school board, after joining as a mid-term replacement in 2018. N.J.-S.P. is one of the few school boards in the area where members are appointed, not elected.

Zupin says Derrick Stalbaum was reelected board president. Kersting-Rudd was elected secretary, with Jeri Brewer taking her former office of vice president. Bill Kaminski was reappointed school attorney.

Zupin says North Judson-San Pierre School Board members will continue to earn $1,500 a year. Their regular meetings will continue to be held on the third Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Central Office Board Meeting Room.
