The Starke County Commissioners approved an updated agreement with The Troyer Group last week.
Mary Perren from the Constellation of Starke Executive Committee presented the information to the commissioners, which requires an additional $4,500 to prepare the revised bid specs for the process of re-bidding the trail head at Bass Lake, a restroom project at Norwayne Field, a new shelter at Wythogan Park in Knox, and a pavilion at Koontz Lake.
The commissioners previously opened bids for these projects and found the bids to be over the $333,000 in funds available. As a result, the bids were rejected. The money stems from the 2019 Regional Stellar Communities Designation process where Starke County was named a finalist.
The $4,500 will be paid for out of the CEDIT Fund.
The commissioners approved the updated agreement as presented.
