Today (Wednesday, April 27) is the deadline to list a yard sale location on the map for next week’s city-wide yard sales in Knox.
Residents may call or text 574-207-3671 to include a listing on the free map available during the city-wide yard sales. Maps will be available at Knox City Hall on May 5 and May 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sales run from Thursday, May 5 through Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT each day.
Signs may be purchased at Knox City Hall. Handmade signs are only permitted on the sale site. No yard sale permits are required.
Meanwhile, Knox Mayor Dennis Estok announced this week that City of Knox Water Department crews will be flushing fire hydrants Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29. Tap water may appear brown following this routine maintenance. Residents should simply let the water run until it clears.
The fire hydrant flushing comes after the completion of the water filter media replacement project. This may have caused water to appear brown. If the water has not cleared after letting it run for a while, call the Water Department at 574-772-3032.
