Knox Mayor Dennis Estok reminds residents that the splash pad will open in Wythogan Park Saturday, May 28.
Mayor Estok commented that many people have called asking about opening day and it continues to be Memorial Day weekend. Splash pads in Winamac and North Judson are also anticipated to open this weekend.
Beyond that, Mayor Estok said Saturday opens the programming season at the Knox parks. He invites everyone to Coffee and Cars Saturday, May 28 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT at Wythogan Park and bring motorcycles, cars, trucks, Jeeps, Volkswagons, military vehicles, and 4×4 vehicles to share with the community.
The first Movies in the Park night is Wednesday, June 1 with Rock Dog 2: Rock around the Park. Attendees should bring blankets or chairs for seating. Admission and parking are free. Riverside Concessions will be open for snacks and refreshments.
