Champion Moment Held during Knox Community School Board Meeting

School organizations and students are highlighted during the Champion Moment during the Knox Community School Board meetings and the latest update did not disappoint, according to Superintendent Greg Mikulich.

“We had a Champion Moment from Mr. Mason at the Elementary School. He was highlighting Mr. McCann’s debate project. He brought in eight kids and they debated whether a student should get paid to go to school and whether a student should have cell phones or not. That was very entertaining for us for that Champion Moment,” said Mikulich.

Mikulich said the board also took action on several items during the meeting.

Mikulich continued, “We got a donation from the Northern Indiana Community Foundation to be used for graduation expenses and guest speakers. We had a service agreement with the North Central CTE for all of our CTE classes that we provide here to our students. We had a recommendation to approve our architect that’s going to work on our high school siding project which is the north and the south side of the High School. We approved that. Work will be done with Schmidt and Associates. We also had a fundraiser approval for the baseball team to host a car show in the middle of May.”
