North Judson Mint Festival: Event schedule for Sunday, June 21

The 49th annual North Judson Mint Festival will take place this weekend, beginning with Family Friday tomorrow.

This is the schedule of events for the North Judson Mint Festival for Sunday, June 21st. All times are listed in Central Time.

The morning will begin with a pancake breakfast and bake sale, starting at 7am and running until noon in the basement of the Catholic church.

Multiple shows will be taking place on Keller and Main again, including Mousetrap Puppets at 10:30am, 1pm, and 5pm; and Kalita Magic at noon and 2pm. Also at Main and Keller all day, visitors can find an Arts & Crafts area and the Mint Festival Headquarters.

On Sunday, the beer garden will open at 11am and stay open until 7pm.

A Kids DJ Dance Party will be taking place from 11-12:30 at the Norwayne Pavilion.

Bingo will take place at the American Legion from 11am to 2pm, and also at American Legion at 1pm will be a flag-burning ceremony.

There will be live music during the day; a garage band at Norwayne Field Pavilion from 12:30 to 1:30pm, and Lomax Station to play from 4-6:30pm.

The main event on Sunday is the Mint Festival Parade, with registration for entries to take place from 11am to 1pm. Parade lineup and judging will be from 1 – 1:30pm, with the parade itself scheduled to begin at 3pm.

According to materials published by Mint Festival officials, there will be a Sensory-Friendly Zone during the parade, to be held on Lane Street. The designated area will serve as a siren-free zone for the parade, to provide a calmer environment for those who may be sensitive to loud noises. This area of the parade route will also feature dye-free candy that will be distributed. The Sensory Friendly Zone is sponsored by BraunAbility.
