Pulaski County Council Makes Another Round of Appointments

The Pulaski County Council continues filling some remaining vacancies on boards and committees. County officials have had trouble finding a current list of members, so council members recently took an older version and went down the list, to check where updates were needed.

Pulaski County Commissioners Approve Updates to Revolving Loan Fund Program

Some tweaks to Pulaski County’s Revolving Loan Fund program were approved by the county commissioners last week. One of the big changes is the addition of new guidelines for when a business would have to get an appraisal to qualify for a loan, according to Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer. Pulaski County Once Again Seeking Mowing Bids

The Pulaski County Commissioners have decided to continue outsourcing the lawn care at certain county properties, after all. Last year, the county contracted mowing at certain county properties out to TK Lawn Services. In January, the commissioners decided to rebid the contract for this year, but they decided last month to hold off on awarding the contract until Maintenance Director Mia Salyers could see what it would cost to repair or replace her department’s zero-turn lawnmower.

No Major Concerns Voiced with Knox Schools’ Building Plans during Informational Meeting

No major concerns were raised during a public presentation on the Knox Community School Corporation’s proposed building project Monday. Current plans call for the demolition of the elementary school’s Palmer Wing, and the construction of a new addition extending south from the newer portion of the school.
