The Town of Hamlet is adjusting its annual Easter Egg Hunt slightly, to allow it to go ahead during the COVID-19 pandemic. Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Pitts told the town’s park board last week that all of the age groups will still hunt for eggs at the same time, but they might be spread out more than usual.

This year’s Hamlet Easter Egg Hunt was a huge hit. That’s what Clerk-Treasurer Kristina Pitts told the town’s park board Wednesday. “We had like 61 kids,” she said. “We got complements. Kassandra had done an awesome job at getting fold-able outside camping chairs for a grand prize, along with the baskets, and I got complements on that.”

Catherine Kasper Life Center to Host Easter Egg Hunt

April Events Planned in Hamlet
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt for residents of Hamlet is planned for Saturday in the town park. At 1:00 p.m., children will scramble to pick up as many eggs as they can in the hopes of winning one of four grand prizes.
Four age groups have been set up for the event: ages two and under, ages three to five, ages six to eight, and ages nine and up. The eggs for the hunt were provided by the Park Department at no cost.
