Spring leaf pickup starts Monday in the City of Knox. Leaf pickup will take place April 5 through 9 and May 3 through 7, according to the Mayor’s Office. Leaves should be placed in a long row next to the curb along the street, not in the alley. Residents are asked not to bag the leaves and to keep any trash out of the leaf piles.

Knox residents may notice some brown tap water over the next few days. That’s because the Water Department is currently flushing its fire hydrants. The Mayor’s Office says the water is safe to drink, and it can be cleared up by running cold water from a bathtub or outside faucet. The hydrant flushing is scheduled to wrap up next Friday.

Monday is the Last Day to Sign-Up for Knox’s Holiday Decorating Contest
The final day to sign up for the Holiday Decorating Contest in the City of Knox will be Monday, December 10th.
In order to get signed up all you have to do is call the Mayor’s Office and provide your name and address, then you’ll be added to the list of homes that will be judged. You can call during business hours or leave a message with all necessary information on the Mayor’s voicemail.

The Knox Peppermint Parade has Been Rescheduled Due to Anticipated Inclement Weather
Due to the inclement weather that is anticipated for Saturday, December 1st, the Knox Peppermint Parade has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 15th.
