The Francesville Town Park’s new quiet space is about 99-percent done, according to Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett. The new quiet space at the south end of the park features a bench, pergola, and landscaping, to create a serene environment. It was created with the help of a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Pulaski County, along with several private donations.

Winamac’s Love Your Community Project Almost Finished for the Season
Work on the downtown restroom facility near the Winamac Parkway is almost done for the season.

Pulaski County Adults Can Apply Now for Scholarship Funds
Adults seeking funding for post-secondary education have an opportunity to apply for a scholarship.
The Pulaski County Community Foundation is offering qualifying adults a chance to apply for the Back Home Again in Indiana scholarship. You can apply online beginning today at www.pulaskiccf.org.
Pulaski County Community Foundation Accepting Grant Applications
The Pulaski County Community Foundation is gearing up for another grant cycle, this time offering a total of $25,000 to be granted to non-profit organizations benefiting the county. According to Kim Krause, scholarship coordinator and office administrator for the Community Foundation, each recipient can receive no more than $5000.
Krause said the grants are focused toward non-profit organizations, but other organizations can receive the grants as well, through the help of a sponsor.
PCCF to Hold Grads in Action Program, Scholarship Recognition June 15
The Pulaski County Community Foundation is inviting scholarship recipients, their parents, donors and members of the community to attend the Scholarship Recognition Picnic at the Tippecanoe River State Park on Saturday, June 15. The Grads in Action project will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the nature center, with the Scholar Picnic following at noon and their recognition program at 1 p.m. at the River Shelter.
Pulaski County Community Foundation Announces 2013 Lilly Endowment Scholar
The Pulaski County Community Foundation has announced the recipient of their full-tuition, four-year Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for 2013. David Putt, a Pulaski County student, will receive full tuition to his choice of Indiana college as well as a $900 yearly stipend for required books and equipment.
The son of Michael and Donna Putt from Francesville, Putt will graduate from West Central High School in June. Putt has been very involved in school activities such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FFA, Student Council, Business Professionals of America, Band, and Drama, and has enjoyed working as a farmhand assistant and volunteering at church, park clean-ups, landscaping projects, food pantries, and singing at the local nursing home. He has also received several honors and awards including the George Eastman Young Leaders award, the Mathematics Outstanding Achievement for Excellence award, and three Highest Class GPA awards.
Five Chosen to Continue in Lilly Endowment Scholarship Process
Finalists in the Pulaski County Community Foundation Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship process have been named.
David Putt from West Central High School, Jordann Frasure from North Judson-San Pierre High School and Emerald Blankenship, Kathleen Budd and Heather DeLorenzo from Winamac High School will now advance to the final phase of the process.
Pulaski County Community Foundation Taking Applications for Lilly Endowment Scholarships
The Pulaski County Community Foundation is participating in the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship program. The program provides scholarships for full college tuition for four years, required fees and book stipends. Applications are available now through the Foundation’s website. The deadline to submit an application is January 10th, 2011.
