Efforts to upgrade Winamac’s tennis and pickleball facility have come to a standstill. Back in July, the town’s park board approved a $7,000 quote from Leslie Coatings to resurface the Town Park’s tennis court, but stripe it for both tennis and two side-by-side pickleball courts.
The Winamac Town Park will soon be getting some new athletic equipment. Last week, the park board voted to let Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo buy a pair of portable full-size soccer goals.
A quote for the remainder of the work needed at the tennis and pickleball courts was considered by Winamac Park Board members Thursday night.
Park Board President Courtney Poor informed the other board members about the quote submitted by Leslie Coatings, Inc. “It’s $7,000 it says to pretty extensively clean then restripe here.” Continue reading
