Work Wrapping Up on Francesville’s New Quiet Space

The Francesville Town Park’s new quiet space is about 99-percent done, according to Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett. The new quiet space at the south end of the park features a bench, pergola, and landscaping, to create a serene environment. It was created with the help of a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Pulaski County, along with several private donations.

Farmer’s Market to be Featured in Francesville

A Farmer’s Market is coming to Francesville.

Members of the Uptown Project presented the information to the Francesville Town Council Monday night. Chairperson Kristin Hinkle from the Pulaski County Community Development Commission said the Farmer’s Market will begin sometime in June. They plan to contact vendors to see when they’re ready to present items for sale.

Francesville May Consider Adding Park Board

The Town of Francesville may be looking into adding a park board. Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett says the idea was brought to the town council Monday by a representative from the UpTown Project. “They asked about maybe getting a park board, so that, maybe, we could get some grants,” Bennett explains. “And that will be looked into. We’re going to contact some other towns to see what theirs is.”
