According to Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood, the council weighed both options quite heavily. They eventually decided to build a new water tower as it was the most economical option.

The Town of Medaryville is working on plans for a new water tower. According to officials in the clerk-treasurer’s office, the plan is to build the water tower across the street from the town hall, on land currently owned by the Diocese of Lafayette. During a special session Friday, the town council voted to make an official offer to buy the two parcels for $6,000.

The North Judson Town Council has selected a contractor for cemetery lawn mowing. Altman’s Lawn Service was once again awarded the bid during Monday’s town council meeting, for a cost of $12,000 for the year. News from the Winamac Town Board
The Winamac Town Board heard from Park Superintendent, Don Thompson, about damage done to the park due to flooding and vandalism.
He reported that the park was under water again this year when the Tippecanoe River swelled and drifted into the park. The Pulaski County Extension Office had removed items from the 4-H buildings to avoid further water damage. Beaver damage was also reported during the flood. Thompson also told the Board that several unknown person(s) caused damage to the playground equipment during a so-called party at the park. Glass was broken around the equipment and clean-up was extensive.
